My name is Charles Saucier and I am a lifelong resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. I graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 1982 and served on active duty with the U.S. Army from 1985 to 1988 and with the U.S. Army National Guard from 1988 to 1993. I attended Southeastern Louisiana University and I’ve worked in Tangipahoa my whole life. I’m currently studying to be an LPN at Delta College and expecting to graduate in November.
I am the Tangipahoa Parish Representative for the Libertarian Party of Louisiana and I am running for U.S. Congress in District 5 to give the citizens of District 5 a true alternative choice apart from the failed policies of both major political parties. I’m a Libertarian, and unlike my opponents, I believe and defend the literal interpretation of the Constitution, the government our founding father’s envisioned. I believe that we should strive to avoid military entanglements in the affairs of other nations. I believe in strong border security. I believe in the Bill of Rights protections granted to our citizens under our Constitution. I believe in ending the failed War on Drugs, Ending the Police State, and Ending the Spying on American citizens, and protecting the Liberty of the people of Louisiana. I am a Libertarian.
